Montezuma County Ambassador Meeting

The February, 2023 Montezuma County Ambassador Meeting covered insurance concerns in fire prone areas. We were joined by Ashley Clements Dorn from Farmers Insurance. Ashley discussed the reasons insurance may be denied or premiums increased in fire prone areas as well as options to lower insurance costs. Additionally, Ashley personally experienced smoke damage from the Marshall fire and spoke to that experience.

Montezuma County Coordinator Samantha Torres also discussed WAP’s collaboration with DWRF and FACO to host a home hardening workshop on Earth Day, April 22, 2023! The event will be held at Summit Lake Community Church in the afternoon. We will keep you posted as we finalize details and hope you can help us get the word out to your communities.
